Catalyst Massage Therapy, L.L.C.

About Me

A few words about my educational background and approach to massage therapy:

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry back in 1994, worked in this area for about three years, then took time off to start a family.  After ten years as a stay-at-home mom, I went back to school for Massage Therapy and graduated in 2007 from Lakeside School of Massage Therapy.

As soon as I finished my formal massage training, I began continuing education in CranioSacral Therapy.  Although I find doing therapeutic massage and trigger point treatment very helpful, I was fascinated by this gentle form of therapy and how it works with the meningeal membrane system of the brain and spinal cord (and actually the entire fascial system) to encourage the body to correct its difficulties on its own--it acts as a catalyst for the body.

There are many applications for CranioSacral Therapy.   I have explored treating nerves to release restrictions from injury, and treating the supportive cells of the nervous system, the glial cells.   I look forward to learning still more, especially in the areas of the acupuncture meridians, the immune system, and scar tissue release using microcurrent.
